AudioJungle Sales Monitor 3

Really slow start for me this month, but it’s like that for overall site ! I just keep to upload and we will see

Thanks! It was actually my best day on AJ. Two B&F on the same day. :slightly_smiling_face:

Congrats for your big sales. It feels like AudioJungle is shifting towards being a platform mainly for Broadcast and high-tier licenses, while Elements has become the go-to for the average user looking for stock music for the smaller projects

Wow, that’s the first positive comment I’ve seen about AJ on this thread in years

1 sale in January and reversal of the same track
…so zero sales :joy:

Same thing also happened to me last year, in January, with my one single sale of the month. It was my first ever reversal on AJ, too.

Silence…… :zipper_mouth_face:

Dear Fellow Authors

I have been away for quite some time (became a father) and am back to see if it’s still worth to upload some of my work to Audiojungle.

My main questions to you are:

  1. Does it make sense to apply for the “flat rate” market instead only the regular Audiojungle profile?
  2. Did anyone else notice the search and sort functions on author profiles not really working?

Thank you everyone and really looking forward to meet a few “old” friends again here and for any help and suggestions.

Dan

Hey Dan, welcome back!

Congrats on becoming a father, no small task I hear! :sunglasses:

  1. I’m guessing by “flat rate market” you mean Elements, right? If so, you can’t apply. It’s invitation based only. As for whether it makes sense, well, the only authors who are still making money on Envato do so through Elements.

  2. Seems to be working for me.

Hello there

thank you for your answers, appreciate it.

Yes, I meant Elements indeed.
You said “invitation only” and this is happening based on what criteria. I m not sure if I received an invitation back then when it had been introduced but declined it.

No publicly available criteria, it’s entirely at Envato’s discretion. Most authors are still excluded from Elements. You can always contact support and let them know you’re interested, but a lot of people are as well. They have to keep a delicate balance between number of authors and subscribers, so they keep the gates closed until there’s enough additional subscribers to accommodate for additional authors. Then they bring in a batch of new authors and close the gates again, and so on.

more than a month dead… cant believe :frowning:

i had an item stuck in re submission almost a month so i just canceled it, and re uploaded (after the necessary tweaks and consulting envato support) and was approved… do you think guys this kind of things affect the algorithm? Cause after that as i said its has been a month of no sales

Hi MannyMusic!

Yes, same here. Sorry for the gloomy view but, IMHO, AJ is approaching to its final days. I mean, you can get a fews dimes from month to month but I don’t think you should expect much more than that. It kind of became the Uploader to Elements.

I see you’re already part of the subscription so I’d recommend to upload all your stuff there and try to give it as much expossure as possible. The real income nowadays comes mainly from Elements, CID (I see you’re with Identifyy) and PROs.

As from single licenses, they are quite rare, and the whole “Broadcast is not included” was a lie, they introduced the “Enterprise Plan” which covers basically everything.

Gotta roll with it.

Yeah i know all of that buddy but a month is kinda of depressing lol.
But also i think there is something with the algorithm too… maybe my impression… kinda of an internal ranking depending of what you do or you dont
Anyway yeah… lets roll with it

Uploading new tracks definitely helps visibilty. I think the system is set up like that.

No, not even with one or two downloads every week!
And let’s not forget the views: they’ve dropped by a good third!!?? :upside_down_face:

Ahhh, nothing like a Music Mass Reproduction license refund to keep the spirit 6 ft under.

Ouch! Not the best way to start the week.

Did you identify the buyer? To make sure they have not used your music nonetheless. I would also ask support for confirmation that their account was indeed blocked/closed.

Interesting… Will it have any effect on sales?
