Yes, but past months have been great, and July just set a new all-time earnings record for me. This year I earned the same amount as last year. December has always been the most profitable month for me.
Earnings are solid anti-records…
is there anywhere to see your accepted/rejected submission ratio?
Nope, but it would be quite a useful fearure. +1.
Someday the 5 dollars tracks will have no sense, ARTL. IO is eating the market with its suscription based model, eating other big companies like MA, sooner or later we will see changes. Just my thoughts.
When Envato takes 83% of each sale at $5 for Elite Authors why would the situation change.
Thks!
I know we’ve been going through this over and over and over and things go nowhere, quite the opposite actually, but I just came across a long time author (2015) with around 850 tracks (cookie cuts, mostly) all of them at $5. Why in this world? I mean, really? Is it out of anger?
I just sold a rusty old ukulele track at $24 a few minutes ago and searched “Ukulele” with low-to-high price order. Literally 18 pages, roughly 285 tracks, of Ukulele tracks at $5. Absurd.
If I were an usual buyer I would go to a suscription based model,(sad but true for us) elements is limited, and there are sites taking advantage of this, offering much more music and with better quality that other sites, so yes I think changes will come. Sooner or later.
No sale since 40 days. Although I don’t think Envato has much to do with this. The global economic situation is difficult and I suspect that my clients are affected by that.
Your last sale was $70 7 days ago.
C’mon buyers! I’d love a payout in January!
Sales are like snow in December, it seems, they should be, but they are not.
I don’t mean to brag, @criskcracker, but it hasn’t been 7 days since my last sale. Please note my wildly successful week after selling an item using the amazing discount tool. Surely, the next stop for me will be permanent residence on the best-sellers page. Onward and upward.
Awesome to hear that. Looks like Sapie’s getting in the first round of the new year! Here’s to 2021 and chasing down that pink stripy horse!
In other awesome news, Criskcracker just wrapped for Christmas. A couple of these are in order!
Happy holidays everybody, and merry Christmas to all those that celebrate it.
Hey @criskcracker, cheers! My post was fully intended to make light of my sale of one single item for the week. If there was any confusion, I wasn’t genuinely bragging about how fantastic my week has been. However, it’s going to get fantastic right now, because I, too, believe a couple of those cocktails are in order. Happy Holidays, Merry Christmas, and Best Wishes to everyone!
Hahaha! Sorry! My bad. I was replying on my phone and it didn’t show me your picture attachment! It all makes sense now. Still, the sentiment stands. Have a great Christmas!
Yeah, there’s some that are horrifically bad for sure. There’s a couple that have generated nice royalties for some of my friends but you are right, you need to research first as there are many bad ones out there for sure.
Lil drunken meaningless post but what the heck, I don’t use FB, IG, Twitter or anything so you guys are my social network: pretty happy to see I’ve been able to upload 25 tracks this year (I’ve got one more in queue but it will technically be available on 2021). It still blows my mind some fellas have the skills to upload up to 30 tracks in a month. Oh laziness, you’re my middle name.
Also, December is coming along quite nicely for such a crappy year thanks to a few big licenses and the cancelation of the most idiotic strategy I’ve ever tried: lowering my prices.
Best of luck everyone these last ten days of such a bizarre year!
You’ve been able to upload 25 tracks this year? This is a great achievement! I haven’t been able to upload a single item! I raise my drink high to you!
This whole pandemic thing froze me on spot. That, plus a nasty cocktail of personal problems. I kept reading around here though and I always like your input (and/or gentle rants). Keep it real, cheers!
The two per month upload thing is super unfair to veteran authors, plus the queue is not moving down in numbers! I used the questionnaire to vent all my grievances, but I highly doubt we will be heard, the cat’s out of the bag already…
Few sales in December, but still an abysmal month and a terrible year!
Hope everybody has a great Christmas, mates!
