Shame it took that much effort to get a cheater banned And even if it’s not from an Envato policy, the stock community in general seems pretty small at the higher level (esp in the more specialised tv/film libraries) and i’m sure anyone who wanted to raise to the top in this industry would find a hard time doing so if they were known to be someone who didn’t care about rules and respect. I personally just think it’s a short sighted and reckless mindset to cheat. Surely anyone that actually wants a full time/long term career in this industry would want to build a trusted brand with good connections and a good record!
That’s just me thinking long term though. If cheaters can’t be bothered building an actual brand then that’s their loss long term I guess.
Meanwhile back to sales. Absolutely the worst, longest lull for over a week bar the odd scrappy, tiny sale. looks like its finished for me thanks to elements and other factors mentioned above.
Utterly depressing with no sign of hope. New sounds accepted go straight into a big black hole.
Oh yh, I should also mention sales since it’s meant to be the topic here Had 3 sales in the past 2 days both from new and older tracks (from 6 months ago) which is exactly how I think the market should be so I’m happy again.
I have NEVER gone this long without a sale. Utterly utterly diabolical.
What is the point here anymore when so many odds are stopping you getting on ??? If it is true that people are getting ahead by cheating, this should be addressed. Its despicable practice that hurts us all.
Truly to say, I can’t remember a weekend when I sold even 1 item. Perhaps it was very long time ago. At least in my case weekend is always without sales whatever “Envato experiments”, “Elements” etc.
I was picking up crazy steam Monday and tuesday, but for 4 days it has been super quiet!
It’s as if smebody just shut me down (NO conspiracy theory here)…
Always hoping for the best, but March was always a record breaker for me and now it’s just a month to month struggle!
Weekend was dead. Remained 1 week, I do not know what to expect. I do not think that there will be a sales growth for me. Like the swampy everything became.
For now I have about 25% of my average sales amount, and this is the worst month for me since mid 2016. My last sale was 9 days ago. Something definitely gone wrong here.
