Not necessarily, no. It depends on the genre. EDM will be more compressed usually, as it is sort of expected of the genre. But on the other side I saw some authors that are moving towards EBU compliant masters, as for does that affect sales, IMO, no.

It’s hard to say. Probably not in some ways. I will say that to some untrained ears, louder=better, so that could affect a potential buyer.
