Anyone using Action Strings by NI

Anyone using Action Strings? I cant get it to sync right, its just not working for me and sometimes when i hit a key no sounds come out.
Its not my machine my computer is fast, the phrase thing is buggy.
any help?

Hm, strange. I have AS installed. No problems with it.Which DAW do you use. In Ableton AS runs good

Hmm, i´m using AS alot - i´m on Cakewalk Sonar X1 PE - never had a problem with sync :frowning:

Try to check the tempo thats set in your Kontakt if it the same as the project tempo :slight_smile: ANd for the deaf keys - try to use your modulation wheel on your keyboard or controller. SOmetimes it jumps to zero value :slight_smile:

Check you have the latest kontakt version…I found that fixed some issues I was having in playing AS chords. Also, I do need to sometimes pull it forward a little in an orchestration. Might be worth letting the midi channel play ahead a few milliseconds.

Also try this:

Click the spanner in kontakt AS window
Choose instrument options
Choose voice handling
Try standard mode voice limit at 8
HQ mode voice limit at 16

Good advice. I’ve noticed that is seems to lag just a tad in Logic Pro X. So like you, I pull it just a little forward for better beat syncing.

Normally strings (and brass and some other instrument) have a slow attack. I think this is not a problem of AS. Maybe some strings player could confirm that. Anyway I pull these instruments a little bit forward too (using AS but also other plugins).
