I would know if there is a quick win to allow us to send you product thumb and preview in larger formats? This would be to improve rendering on high DPI screen (retina, etc…)
For example, allow 160x160 (80x80 x2) for thumb and 1180x600 (590x300 x2) for preview
I don’t think it’d be possible:
For many reasons, first, there’re thousands of items, they will all need to be updated and it’s gonna a another “review” process. Just to achieve this one, Envato has to hire new reviewers or the current review process would take much longer and it would cause issues.
As you shown, it seems possible to upload high resolution images. (I saw that they already use srcset and have an image service)
But I don’t understand where the format of 3:2 is used
Preview images and icon size cannot be different ( 590x300 - 80x80 ) but you can add additional images ( as ZIP )
For videos, probably.
Is great idea. I think need approve only for new uploaded themes, cover image in @2x size.
Now in search result page all themes cover images looking blurry and small text not readable.
