Well, they told me all versions of any given track can be uploaded if I want to, and the system will match just one. But it makes sense that it would be easier for the system to find the tracks if you upload original versions without watermarks.
Yes, that’s true you can upload different versions of our music - and on speaking with them the other day, we can even upload the individual stems from our tracks, which is good news.
I think the reason however why they prefer no watermarks is because AdRev registered music is added to the YouTube AudioSwap catalogue, where YT users can swap out their stolen Taylor Swift songs on their videos for ours (and we get the revenue).

That’s very close to my own results, and my uke tracks have become somewhat of a staple within the YouTube vlogging/makeup tuts community, so I’m guessing your music has found it’s way into some very popular YT vids/communities, right?
It’s actually a good idea to look through and recognise the community that’s using your music the most and set up a YT channel promoting your music specifically aimed at them. Works a treat!
