About open paths and strokes

Hi. I want to load background pattern to graphicriver. but i have a couple of small questions.

this is the background pattern I intend to submit. Should I Expand everything in this material? For example, some leaves now look like this:

Should I expand all these paths and turn them into shapes?

I think yes, they should be expanded and then merged together. That way when someone scales it, the stroke will be consistent.
