2024 Update: Are themes and plugins being updated?

Hi there,

I saw a topic about this in 2020 I think. But its been a couple of years since then. Has anything changed regarding updates of WP themes and plugins (notice Im not talking about support, just updates).

If you download a theme/plugin using Elements, is it safe? Will there be theme and plugin updates?

Some authors have found a way to do it but officially there’s no obligation or guarantee of ongoing updates.

It would defeat the point of having the marketplaces and elements if Envato removed the value of the different offering.
